Cortex-Like Complex Systems: What Occurs Within?

چکیده
We consider cortex-like complex systems in the form of strongly connected, directed networks-of-networks . In such a network, there are spiking dynamics at each nodes (modelling neurones), together with non-trivial time-lags associated edges synapses). The connections outer network sparse, while many inner networks, called modules, dense. These may process various incoming stimulations by producing whole-system dynamical responses. specifically discuss generic class up to 10 billion simulating human cerebral cortex. It has recently been argued that system’s responses wide range be classified into number latent, internal modes might interpreted as focussing and biasing short-term system any further stimuli. this work, we illustrate how latent shown both present significant within very large-scale simulations for appropriate systems. argue they explain experience brain.

Soliton-like Solutions of the Complex Non-linear Klein-Gordon Systems in 1 + 1 Dimensions
In this paper, we present soliton-like solutions of the non-linear complex Klein-Gordon systems in 1+1 dimensions. We will use polar representation to introduce three different soliton-like solutions including, complex kinks (anti-kinks), radiative profiles, and localized wave-packets. Complex kinks (anti-kinks) are topological objects with zero electrical charges. Radiative profiles are object...
متن کاملWWN-Text: Cortex-Like Language Acquisition with “What” and “Where”
Based on some recent advances in understanding and modeling cortical processing for space [1] and time [2], we propose a developmental, general purpose model for language acquisition using multiple motor areas. Through the ventral pathway, the “what” motor learns, abstracts and projects (as recurrent top-down context) information that is related to the meaning of the text. Via the dorsal pathwa...
متن کاملControlling Change Within Complex Systems Through Pliability
As systems become larger, more complex, and operate for longer periods of time, some change within the system often becomes inevitable. Particularly in systems of systems, with diverse stakeholders, evolutionary development and managerial independence, it is not unusual for constituent systems to change in form or the way they operate. Changeability, the ability of a system to change, is often ...
متن کاملSituating GOMS Models Within Complex, Sociotechnical Systems
In this paper we present a methodology for situating GOMS models in complex sociotechnical work domains. The methodology is presented within a larger theoretical framework that relates GOMS modeling to other modeling systems according to principled and systematic guidelines. Increasingly, computers play critical roles in the running of complex systems such as telecommunications networks and nuc...
